A Flinders Island District High School student is the first on the island this century to receive the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. The award is an internationally recognised program for young people which aims to build the necessary attributes and skills to equip them for life and work. The program focuses on four key areas – developing skills, getting physically active, giving service, and experiencing adventure.
